Your own private custom, high-end island! Only your group and the onsite staff, who have separate detached housing, will be on the island during your stay. This uniquely designed island includes 5 private suites with their own large open air thatch roof bathrooms, specifically laid out to take advantage of the amazing sea, mountain views and the cool trade winds.

Little Harvest Caye is a 1.5 acre private resort island that is located just 3/4 of a mile from the center of Placencia Village which is just a short 5 minute boat ride all in protected smooth waters. The Little Harvest Caye boat stays out on the island along with its captain and is available to take you back and fourth from Placencia based on your schedule. The island is uniquely situated to have panoramic views in all directions of the Maya Mountains, open ocean and Placencia Village.

Little Harvest Caye is a certified Gold Standard Property by the Belize Tourism Board and managed by a highly respected company that manages four exclusive private island and numerous luxury waterfront villas in Placencia.

Little Harvest Caye offers an experience like no other in Belize. During your stay at Little Harvest Caye you have a chef to prepare all your meals (cost of food not included), daily housekeeping along with a boat and captain at your disposal to go any time for dinner, bar hopping, shopping, or taking in the many other sites and attractions of Placencia Village.

Some resorts talk about being green, Little Harvest Caye is as green as any property can be. Little Harvest Caye is powered by a state of the art 45,000 watt solar system, with a room full of batteries to power the island when the sun is not out making it truly off-grid. The island does have a back-up generator to provide power to the island during extended periods of rain or heavy clouds; its use is not required under normal circumstances and with reasonable use of the air conditioners in each of the bedrooms. A very thoughtful effort went into the building design and details including the latest in LED technology, all butane cooking, water heating and even refrigeration. Efficient DC technology ceiling fans and the extremely efficient and quiet in room solar mini split AC systems truly make it where Little Harvest Caye can satisfy 100% of its electric needs from its solar system.
Placencia itself also is an ideal location to explore all Belize has to offer. In Placencia you have access to both land and sea tours and excursions, most less than 1 hour away. Our concierge will assist in planning and booking your activities to enable you to get the most out of your trip.

Placencia and the area around Little Harvest Caye is home to some of the best saltwater fly fishing for Bonefish, Permit and Tarpon in the world as well as amazing snook, snapper and other fishing literally right off of the island.

Placencia is also known for amazing diving and snorkeling, including an annual visit each year of the amazing and elusive Whale Shark, usully frm March to June.

The Little Harvest Caye concierge can arrange for diving and fishing tours to be picked up and dropped off at the island dock.

Placencia is the second most popular tourist destination located in Southern Belize. It is located on a 16 mile long peninsula that is surrounded by the Placencia Lagoon on one side and the Caribbean Sea on the other. It is much smaller, less congested and more laid back than Ambergris Caye / San Pedro. Being on a peninsula and not an island, Placencia provides easy access to the Belize Rainforest and many activities on the mainland like Mayan Ruins, waterfalls, zip lining and cave tubbing to name a few. Placencia offers numerous restaurants, small shops and bars and is home to famous Placencia Sidewalk and is the perfect place for an amazing Caribbean vacation.

All international flights coming into Belize land at the Belize City Airport (BZE). Our full time concierge will work with you to arrange transportation from BZE to the property.

Getting from BZE to LHC is easy with 2 options available.

Option 1 is to take a short (approximately 30 minute) local commuter flight from BZE to the Placencia Airstrip where you will be met by the island's staff that will pick you in our custom limo golf cart to take the short 1 minute ride to our marina where the boat will be waiting to take you on the short ride out to the island. Our concierge will work with you to book these flights once you have your international flights booked and locked in.

Option 2 is to take a van shuttle from BZE to the Gecko Marina where the island's staff will be waiting on you to take you in the boat to take you to the island. The driver will meet you outside of baggage claim. The drive from BZE to our marina is around 3 hours. Our concierge will work with you to get this booked again once you have your international flights booked.

A full refund minus a non-refundable booking fee of $450, will be issued when Guest elects to cancel the booking at least 120 days prior to check-in date. If the booking is canceled at any point after the 120 days, all payments made will be retained.

Effective July 14th 2022, the Government of Belize has decided to remove all public health measures at the points of entry in Belize. Belize Travel Insurance is now optional for entry. Proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test is no longer required upon arrival and for entry into Belize.

Payment Policies

A partial payment in the amount of 30% of the grand total is due upon booking. Remaining payment is due no later than 90 days prior to arrival. If the booking is made after [or within 3 days of when] the second payment would be due, then this payment will be combined and due together with the first payment.
Guest agrees that all additional services purchased through our concierge are non-refundable and will be charged to the card on file upon the booking of those services.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All amounts paid under the lease (less a non-refundable $450 booking fee) shall be refunded when Guest elects to cancel the lease at least 120 days prior to the arrival date contained in this lease. If the lease is canceled at any point after 120 days from the arrival date contained in this lease, all payments made under the lease shall be non-refundable and retained by Lessor.

Failure to make lease payments when due shall result in the Guest being in default of this lease agreement and the lease shall be deemed cancelled by Lessor if any payment due is not paid within 48 hours of the date such payment was due.

The property manager strongly recommends purchasing travel insurance, to protect the guests in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as; interruption of travel due to weather, personal emergency or illness.

Max Adults allowed to stay on island overnight is 12 with up to 14 total gusts provided at least 2 are kids.
No Pets permitted unless specifically approved in advance by Lessor and payment of additional security deposit to Lessor as agreed to in advance.
Absolutely no smoking permitted inside home. Cigarette butts, cans, bottles, and other trash shall be properly disposed of and not left in yard, or beach area.
Lock golf cart with steering wheel lock when not in use as all club car keys are same. Return cell phone and charger to caretaker at check out.
Wear lifejackets provided when using kayaks, wash with fresh water and put up when done. Please wash snorkel equipment with fresh water allow to dry and put back up.
Do not commit or allow any unlawful, improper, or offensive use of the Property.
Household items (Bluetooth speaker, towels, utensils, games, etc.) are not to be removed from the Property.
Please wash off sand from feet in wash out areas by sidewalk before entering home, POOL, or patio.
Please turn off a/c and all lights off when not in use. The AC system works VERY fast to cool off the room so turn off when leaving room. Electricity is a valuable resource in Belize.
Upon departure, return keys to caretaker. Lost keys will cost $45.00 each
MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD TO OPERATE GOLF CART and must follow the Golf Cart Rental Terms and Conditions covered in EXHIBIT A.
All weddings are subject to additional charge and must be booked in advance.
