Refer a Friend Program Terms & Conditions

By participating in the Gecko Vacation Rentals “Refer a Friend” Program (the “Program”), you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Program Overview The Program allows existing Gecko Vacation Rentals guests (“Referrers”) to earn rental credits and free stays by referring new guests (“Referred Guests”) who book qualifying stays with Gecko Vacation Rentals.

2. Eligibility

  • Referrers must be former or current guests of Gecko Vacation Rentals.
  • Referred Guests must be genuinely new customers to Gecko Vacation Rentals. This means they must not have previously booked with Gecko Vacation Rentals under any name or email address.
  • Referred Guests must book directly with Gecko Vacation Rentals (via our website, phone, or email) and not through third-party Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) such as Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, etc., for the referral to be valid.

3. How to Refer To refer a friend, the Referred Guest must mention the Referrer’s full name and email address at the time of their initial inquiry or booking. Referrals cannot be applied retroactively after a booking has been confirmed.

4. Earning Rewards

  • Qualifying Booking: A “Qualifying Booking” is defined as a confirmed reservation made by a Referred Guest for a minimum of four (4) consecutive nights in any Gecko Vacation Rentals property. The booking must be paid in full without cancellation or significant modification that drops it below the 4-night minimum.
  • $500 Rental Credit: For each Qualifying Booking made by a unique Referred Guest, the Referrer will earn a $500 rental credit. Credits are redeemable after the Referred Guest’s stay is fully paid for.
  • Free Stay Reward: A Referrer will earn one (1) Free Stay Reward upon accumulating four (4) Qualifying Bookings from four unique Referred Guests.
    • The Free Stay Reward consists of a complimentary 7-night stay in a 2-bedroom unit at Sunset Gecko Condo.
    • This reward is subject to availability and blackout dates (see Section 6).

5. Redeeming Rewards

  • Rental Credit Redemption:
    • Rental credits can be applied towards a future full-priced stay in any Gecko villa or private island. “Full-priced stay” means a booking not subject to any other discounts, promotions, or special offers.
    • Credits must be redeemed within 24 months from the date of issuance. Any unredeemed credit will expire.
    • Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value.
    • Credits cannot be used towards taxes, fees, cleaning charges, or additional services unless explicitly stated.
  • Free Stay Reward Redemption:
      • To redeem the Free Stay Reward, the Referrer must contact Gecko Vacation Rentals directly to check availability and book their 2-bedroom unit at Sunset Gecko Condo.
      • The Free Stay Reward is non-transferable and has no cash value.
      • The Free Stay Reward covers the base nightly rate for a 2-bedroom unit at Sunset Gecko Condo for 7 nights. It does not include any additional services, which must be paid by the Referrer.
      • The Free Stay Reward cannot be combined with any other discounts or promotions.

6. Availability and Blackout Dates for Free Stay Reward The Free Stay Reward at Sunset Gecko Condo is subject to availability. Certain dates may be excluded (blackout dates) due to high demand, peak seasons, or special events. Blackout dates will be determined solely by Gecko Vacation Rentals and communicated at the time of booking inquiry. We recommend booking well in advance.

7. Program Limitations

  • There is no limit to the number of $500 rental credits a Referrer can earn.
  • There is no limit to the number of Free Stay Rewards a Referrer can earn.
  • Referrers cannot refer themselves or members of their immediate household.
  • Bookings that are canceled, refunded, or do not meet the 4-night minimum are not considered Qualifying Bookings and will not earn credit.
  • Gecko Vacation Rentals reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all Referrers and Referred Guests and to deny rewards if we suspect fraudulent activity or a violation of these terms.
  • Gecko Vacation Rentals’ decision regarding the eligibility of Referrers, Referred Guests, and the issuance of rewards is final.

8. Modification and Termination Gecko Vacation Rentals reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Program or these terms and conditions at any time, for any reason, with or without prior notice. Any rewards earned prior to termination or modification will be honored according to the terms under which they were earned, provided they are redeemed within their stated validity period.
